The Department of Electrical Engineering was established in 1990 as one of the original five branches of Chung Hua University. Currently the department consists of 10 faculty members, including 1 professor, 5 associate professors, and 4 assistant professors. There are 8 classes of undergraduate students and 4 classes of graduate students, totaling nearly four hundred students.
Our course design and research expertise are categorized into the following four major fields: communications, control systems, electronic circuitry design, and optoelectronics. The educational goal of the department is to provide a well-rounded curriculum through cultivating both the theoretical and empirical aspects of electrical engineering.
Many graduates from this department are currently engaged in highly challenging and rewarding careers at high tech companies located in various Science Parks, including in Hsinchu, Chunan, Taichung, Longtan, and Neihu, etc. According to 104i Human Resource Agency statistics, 89% of our graduates earn over forty thousand dollars per month; 75% earn over fifty thousand; 57% earn over sixty thousand, and 25% earn over eighty thousand.
